The Toy Story plus Monsters Inc plus Despicable Me Birthday Cake!

Buzz Woody Sully Mike Minion Birthday Cake

We had a birthday this past weekend! Mr. Gavin turned THREE. First of all, I can’t believe it’s been three years since he was born. When he took his first breath, he took MY breath away. He has been nothing but a ball of energy and giggles and curiosity since he came into this world.

For the first time, we decided to “go all out” with a birthday cake. Haley and Brenden will have cakes like this too. No, we didn’t have a party. I know, “Why spend the money on a cake with no party?” Well, because we can. What an awesome way to take the previous year and celebrate everything that IS Gavin with a cake that 100% represents him?

He had a great day even with no party – donuts for breakfast, a trip to the aquarium, the candy store, and then Toys R Us. The aquarium was practically empty while we were there, it was absolutely perfect! He LOVED the big sea turtle, and we actually chased it through the tunnel so he could see it. I think he had a great day of fun!

Here are some more pictures of our cake. If you’re local to the Troy/Dayton Ohio area, Night Kitchen Cakes is THE place we got this cake from. Her talent is amazing, and the cake was delicious (soft and moist!).

Yes, he saw Woody and thought, “Oh, a toy!”. Seconds later, Woody was headless and his hat was broken. Thank goodness I was quick with the camera! Oh, and Woody lost an arm too. Very “Toy Story 2” appropriate!

Happy birthday my sweet handsome “couldn’t wait for your c-section, had to come two days earlier” little man! Your daddy and I love you so much! Thank you for being both a good little brother and a good big brother!
